Silent Drive Has Promising Results

Thanks to the generosity of our listeners, we raised a significant amount of money during the Summer Silent Drive.

This helps meet our end-of-year fiscal goals. While we haven't quite finished tallying up all the results yet, it looks quite promising that we will be in compliance with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) requirements.

Thank you to everyone who contributed.

The question "What will happen if the station doesn't receive their annual Corporation for Broadcasting money?" has a lot of answers, here are a few:

  • We would lose critical funding in the form of the Community Service Grant (CSG), but also direct access to Disaster Relief Funds, American Rescue Plan Act, and more. In the fiscal year 21/22 we received over $90,000 from the CPB.
  • Our fees for SoundExchange reporting would more than double
  • We would lose access to information and essential webinars such as Harassment Trainings, FCC rules/regulations, and more

Thank you for your support of commercial-free, nonprofit radio.
