Author/Activist Rivera Sun has written numerous books and novels, including The Dandelion Insurrection and the award-winning Ari Ara Series. She is the editor of Nonviolence News and the Program Coordinator for Campaign Nonviolence. Her articles are syndicated by Peace Voice and published in hundreds of journals nationwide. Rick Jahnkow is a co-founder and board member of the Project on Youth and

Non-Military Opportunities (Project YANO), a nonprofit counter-recruitment

organization based in San Diego County. For 34 years he worked as the

organization’s full-time program coordinator.

Since its founding in 1984, Project YANO has worked with military veterans to

inform students about the realities of military enlistment and war. In addition,

it has sought to make young people aware of non-military alternatives for

college financial aid, job training and community service.

Zack Connell is the recipient of the Steven Tadeo Award, and is an active participant of the Paradise High Social Justice Committee and a member of the PHS school site counsel as well as one of the newest board members to the Gold Nugget Museum Board of Directors and is currently at Chico state pursuing a B.S. in political science-option in Legal studies and a minor in Psychology.
